About BAWA Transportation and Logistics

BAWA Transportation and Logistics Pty Ltd is a Melbourne-based freight and logistics company helping Australian businesses move goods efficiently, safely and cost-effectively. We combine hands-on service with dependable carrier networks across metro Melbourne and interstate lanes.

Our Story

Commercial building in Melbourne where BAWA Transportation and Logistics is based

BAWA Transportation and Logistics Pty Ltd was established in Melbourne with a straightforward goal: to give Australian businesses a freight partner they could genuinely rely on. What began as a focused local cartage operation has grown into a coordinated freight service covering metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria and key interstate lanes.

Along the way, we have built strong relationships with vetted partner carriers, warehousing providers and distribution points, allowing us to offer full truckload, part load and tailored logistics solutions without losing the personal, owner-operated service our clients value.

Today, we serve retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers and e-commerce businesses that need their freight delivered on time, every time, with clear communication from pickup to proof of delivery.

Our Values

Reliability first. We say what we will do, then we do it. Schedules are realistic, commitments are honoured and exceptions are communicated early.
Safety and compliance. Every load is moved in accordance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law and our Chain of Responsibility obligations, with fatigue management and load restraint treated as non-negotiable.
Clear communication. You deal with one point of contact who knows your freight, and we keep you informed at every stage from booking to delivery.
Long-term partnerships. We invest in our client relationships, learning your business so we can anticipate needs rather than simply react to them.
Continuous improvement. We review performance on every job, refine our processes and adopt better tools where they genuinely add value for our clients.

Our Team Approach

BAWA team members planning a freight schedule together

Freight is a people business. Behind every consignment is a coordinated effort between our experienced drivers, dispatch coordinators and customer service staff, all working to the same standard.

Drivers are licensed for the appropriate vehicle classes, trained in load restraint and safety procedures, and supported to manage fatigue responsibly.
Dispatch coordinators plan routes and schedules carefully, matching the right vehicle to the right load to keep costs down and transit times tight.
Customer service staff act as your single point of contact, providing proactive updates and honest answers rather than excuses.
Management stays hands-on, reviewing operations daily and stepping in directly whenever a job needs extra attention.

We look after our people because they look after your freight. That culture of respect and accountability flows through to the service you experience on every job.
